Reviews for the Toshiba Qosmio F60
Qosmio's newest family addition. The first look at the 15.6 inch sized multimedia notebook reveals a BluRay drive, a GeForce GT330M graphics and the Toshiba-typical Harman/Kardon loudspeakers. We are anxious to find out what else is concealed in the glossy red-black case.

Archive.org versionIf you have the cash to splurge on a 15.6-inch multimedia notebook and one of your top priorities should be an eye-catching design, then the Toshiba QOSMIO F60 at S$2399 would seem more palatable. Compared to our previously reviewed Lenovo IdeaPad Y560 which posses better hardware and performance and costs less, the Toshiba would appear to be overpriced. However, style does come at a price and that's the Qosmio's proposition.

Archive.org versionToshiba's Qosmio F60 looks good, feels good to use and it delivers plenty of performance at a good price. It's not for people who demand the best eye candy when playing a game, but instead for gamers who don't mind sacrificing a bit of image quality and resolution for smooth frame rates. At the end of the day, the Toshiba Qosmio F60 is more than a gaming machine: it's a full-blown media centre that you can use to play Blu-ray movies, record TV shows and play music. We like it.

NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M: The Nvidia GeForce GT 330M is the successor of the GT 230M and technically just a slightly higher clocked GT 240M (but it should still maintain the power envelope of the GT 230M as the naming suggests).
Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.

330M:
The Core i3-330M is a slower clocked 350M and therefore also lacks the Turbo Boost feature and clocks with max. 2.13 GHz. Thanks to Hyperthreading, 4 threads can be processed simultaneously. An integrated graphics card (GMA HD 3150) and a DDR3 memory controller are also included in the package.
