The Yoga Pro 9i sits at the top of Lenovo’s catalogue of multimedia laptops. In its latest iteration, the Yoga Pro 9i Aura Edition Gen 10, Lenovo has outfitted the notebook with up to a stunning Tandem OLED display, a Core Ultra 9 285H Arrow Lake-H CPU, and an RTX 5070 GPU. This makes the laptop a fantastic option for power users who want one “do-it-all” machine.
This top-of-the-line Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Aura Edition configuration, however, will set you back by more than $2,500, which is super expensive for the majority of multimedia users out there. Enter the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Aura with an RTX 5050 and a 2.8K touch-capable OLED panel, a more practical SKU that comes in under $2,000 while retaining the key qualities of the machine.
What’s even better is that Best Buy has now reduced the price of this Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Aura SKU by a noteworthy $300. At just $1,649.99, the notebook on sale has become a high-end multimedia option that should be on your radar.
Specs-wise, the discounted Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Aura features a fast Core Ultra 9 285H CPU, 32 GB of non-expandable RAM, and 1 TB of upgradable storage (max. 2 TB with a second M.2 2280 SSD). The laptop carries the same 2.8K OLED touch display that impressed us during our testing, is powered by a large 84 Wh battery, and has all the ports you’ll need.
Add in a comfortable backlit keyboard with a 1.5 mm travel, durable metal chassis, fast wireless connectivity, and an excellent speaker system, and the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Aura becomes a standout multimedia laptop from a purely hardware perspective.
Lenovo has, thankfully, put this hardware to good use. The laptop earned a “very good” rating of 89% in our review, mainly due to its excellent construction, outstanding display, and speedy performance.
The combination of the Core Ultra 9 285H and the RTX 5050 inside the Yoga Pro 9i on sale should result in strong CPU and good GPU performance. So, the laptop will run CPU-intensive tasks quite well, while offering strong 1080p gaming chops. However, this also means louder fans under load. You can manage the fan noise by using one of the available low-power profiles.
Around the front, the 16-inch 2.8K OLED display, with a 120 Hz refresh rate, rich colors, 400+ nits of average/1,000 nits of HDR brightness, and complete DCI-P3/AdobeRGB coverage, is a joy to use. Lenovo has also ensured color accuracy out of the box, making the panel perfectly suitable for content production.
Finally, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i Aura, despite offering snappy performance, offers good battery life. Our WLAN test confirms a runtime of around 10 hours on a single charge.
