In Dredge, you take control of a fishing trawler and explore a remote archipelago to discover what's hidden there. Along the way, you'll meet various inhabitants, and someone will ask you to uncover the past.

Of course, the developers at Black Salt Games have also included other gameplay mechanics. Throughout the archipelago, you can catch more than 125 different species of marine life and sell them to earn money. By doing so, you'll be able to upgrade your equipment and your boat.

You can also complete various quests to discover new locations and items. As you progress, you'll unlock new abilities that could give you an advantage in certain situations.

However, darkness and fog pose a danger. Indeed, while sharp rocks must be avoided, you’ll also have to watch out for other threats lurking in the fog, such as sea creatures. To survive, strengthen your mind and use your abilities.

Currently available for $9.99, Dredge boasts a 95% positive rating based on more than 57,660 reviews on Steam. It is often praised for its mysterious atmosphere and its gameplay. The story is also appreciated by players, as are its graphics. In addition, according to HowLongToBeat, the main story lasts between 9 and 10 hours. However, the quests can sometimes feel repetitive, as can certain mechanics like fishing. As for its price, it will return to $24.99 on November 5, 2026, according to SteamDB.
