The next game from the Tomb Raider franchise could be released soon

Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the next Tomb Raider game. It must be said that the latest title of this license was unveiled to the public in 2018, without taking into account the remasters that have emerged in recent years. But while this new game is still very mysterious, it could be released in the near future, according to the latest information.

Therefore, it is necessary to go back a few years, during a conference on the Unreal Engine 5. Indeed, at that moment, the developers announced a new game using this technology with a fusion of all the Lara Crofts. Moreover, several adventures were going to be mixed, allowing to meet the expectations of the oldest fans, but also of the most recent ones. 

However, if this seems promising and announces a sublime game that will appeal to nostalgics from the first hour and recent players, no information has been revealed since. But during Embracer’s last financial statement, the firm announced all projects that will soon be released. 

Thus, it is possible to find Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra and Tides of Tomorrow which will be released in early 2026 or even Reanimal. But, there is a section called 'Still to be dated' in which the name of Tomb Raider appears. In other words, although no information is available, the game seems to be still under development and could be released during the year 2026. 

Nevertheless, we can expect more twists and turns between now and then, as Crystal Dynamics has not yet announced a release date. And it also seems unlikely that an announcement will be made during the upcoming conferences like Gamescom 2025 which starts tonight. However, hope is always present among the fans, who can't wait to immerse themselves in unique and exciting adventures.
