Acer has updated several of its notebooks with new hardware. Some models like the Acer Spin 3 get an upgraded screen too. That also holds for the new Acer Swift 5. It won't be long before one can lay their hands on one, as the laptop will be available for purchase in December 2020 for €1,099 (US$1,300).
CPU options on the new Acer Spin 5 max out at an 11th-generation Intel Core i7 processor, likely the Core i7-1165G7. Its integrated Intel Xe graphics card should allow for some resource-heavy work. Its 13.2-inch screen has an aspect ratio of 3:2, so we're probably looking at a 2K resolution. The bezel sizes have been cut down by 18%, and the notebook has an 80% screen-to-body ratio. Acer has also topped the touch-enabled screen with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass.
The new Acer Spin 5's comes with two USB Type-C Thunderbolt 4.0 and two USB 3.0 Type-A ports. Other input options include an HDMI port and a dock for the included stylus. The notebook's battery allows for up to fifteen hours of usage. However, that number will very likely vary according to the type of use.
