The Vivo X50 series reportedly leaks onto Geekbench and Weibo
Vivo may be the first OEM to combine the new Samsung ISOCELL GN1 sensor and Snapdragon 768G processor in the same device. The resulting X50 Pro may thus make a stand-out 5G mid-ranger in a year already replete in these terms.
Earlier leaks have suggested that this phone may also go by the model number V2005A. The same has just popped up on Geekbench 5, which may show that this device has 8GB of RAM and runs Android 10. It has a Qualcomm processor clocked at 1.8GHz.
This SoC's specs may thus match up with those of the 768G, although it must be said that its predecessor the 765G also shows up on Geekbench as it does in the "vivo V2005A's" new listing. Accordingly, it might also be the vanilla X50. In other potential X50 Pro news, its real-life appearance has been leaked again - and by its OEM this time.
The company has been hyping the phone by posting it in an extensive series of images depicting it as it would be in physical public-space advertising media being held by the same model (possibly in lieu of the real thing).
Accordig to these mock-ups, the X50 Pro will have 3 color options, and will have the Minion-esque hotch-potch of rear cameras shown in earlier renders. However, the novelty of the 50MP primary module may outweigh the impact of its looks in this case.
