Microsoft continues to improve Windows 11 by rolling out fresh new features. A notable recent addition that is currently being tested is the "Copy as Table" feature in the Snipping Tool which enhances its existing optical character recognition (OCR) capabilities.

Microsoft keeps working on new features to make sure Windows 11 remains competitive. Last year, the company unveiled Text Actions, an add-on feature for the Snipping Tool that allows users to copy text from screenshots. While there are many OCR tools out there, it may be more convenient for some users to be able to run OCR on an image without having to download or install anything.

It appears Microsoft is almost ready to make its operating system's built-in OCR more advanced. As reported by Windows Latest, the software juggernaut is testing a new feature named Copy as Table that allows users to copy tables easily while keeping the original layout intact. It is currently available in the latest experimental build of the OS and the Tool.

According to the source, Copy as Table works rather well but it's not without its downsides. For instance, if the screenshot includes the whole app, then the data obtained using the new feature may not be as accurate.

Since the Copy as Table feature is currently in an early preview version, it may take some time before it arrives for everyone.
