The Galaxy A52 5G is a phone that, despite the rank in Samsung's low-to-mid-tier smartphone class indicated by its product name, is currently projected to launch with some specs one might expect in a more premium handset. They include a 120Hz display, a fairly large 4,500mAh battery and a new-ish processor (the Snapdragon 750G) - however, given the A51's example, this package might come at a sub-US$500 price-point.
Now, it seems Samsung plans to sweeten this deal even further with another feature classically reserved for high-end phones: an IP67 rating. This official resistance rating means that the A52 5G might be able to keep water out, even if submerged in it to a depth of up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes.
In reality, this means IP67 devices might survive being caught out in the rain, or withstand most common bathroom mishaps. This new alleged spec for the upcoming Galaxy A5x 5G comes courtesy of the leaker Abhishek Yadav, who is normally found on Twitter but has recently also branched out onto YouTube.
