Xiaomi India has now set a joint March 2022 launch date for the Redmi Watch 2 Lite and Note 11 Pro. Now, a new leak purports to spill approximate pricing info for the upcoming, reasonably spec-rich wearable. Should it prove accurate, the cost in question might help the Watch 2 Lite fly off the shelves in its new market.
Xiaomi has confirmed a launch for new smartphones for the Indian market soon. They are now slated to consist of the Note 11 Pro's 4G/LTE and 5G variants, and to share this spotlight with the Redmi Watch 2 Lite. Therefore, the country will soon see at least 1 new device that happens to have a lot in common with the POCO X4 Pro, not to mention a wearable that might offer a good amount of on-trend features for its price.
This last line of speculation is mainly derived from a new leak courtesy of the well-known tipster Mukul Sharma, who now suggests that the Watch 2 Lite will start "aggressively" in India. The smartwatch is now tipped to cost between INR 5,000 (~US$66) and 6,000 (~$80) on its release.
This approximate range would just about put its price in line with that elsewhere in the world on its imminent March 9, 2022 debut. That may help it become very popular very quickly in its new region - especially as Redmi has already made it clear it will ship with its original GPS spec in India.
