Realme has started to promote successors for the Q2 and Q2 Pro ahead of their launch, which is now set to go ahead in about 2 days from now (April 20, 2021). The OEM has also now confirmed earlier rumors that this new series will be the one to bring the Dimensity 1100 platform to its brand.
Speaking of its brand, the Q3 is also expected to introduce an innovative new rear panel style: it is currently teased as being phosphorescent, perhaps to the point of being hi-vis, in parts. Realme has also hinted that these distinctive accents might be super-imposed on an on-trend neon-yellow rear panel in one SKU.
On the other hand, a possible Q3 Pro has been spotted on TENAA in a more sober, standard black ahead of its launch. This device (the RMX2205) has also allegedly surfaced on Geekbench 5 with 8GB of RAM to go along with its ARM MT6891Z/CZA (the 1100) processor.
Realme has also let it slip that the Q3 series will benefit from relatively high-end 120Hz displays, as well as some other tantalizing little details such as that at least 1 variant will be 8.4mm in depth (thereby hinting at its battery size?) and will have "VC" cooling.
Despite all this, the OEM might aim for a "budget king" status for the upcoming devices. They might start at as little as 1000 yuan (US$154) on their impending Chinese-market debut.
