The Razer Phone is the only device in the world with Quick Charge 4.0 support
Qualcomm's proprietary fast-charging technology, Quick Charge, has come a long way since the release of the original Quick Charge 1.0 back in 2013. The company released the latest version of its technology, Quick Charge 4+, back in June 2017 but not much has been heard of it since launch. A quick look at the company's website shows that the American semiconductor giant just hasn't been able to sell the technology to OEMs, with Quick Charge 4.0 available on only one device—the Razer Phone.
Qualcomm's naming scheme for 2017 was a tad confusing, anyways. The company released Quick Charge 4.0 in November 2016, and followed it up with Quick Charge 4+ a while later, the latter of which was touted to offer a 15% boost over the former. Surprisingly enough, there isn't any option to sort devices by Quick Charge 4+ on Qualcomm's website. The company did reveal that the Nubia Z17 would feature the technology, though, so it's all a tad baffling. The filter for Quick Charge 4.0 only lists the Razer Phone, which is proof that OEMs may be looking for cheaper alternatives, especially as the older Quick Charge 3.0 and the now mainstream USB-PD perform just fine.
