If you are disappointed you missed the green logo edition of the Razer Phone that was made available to early adopters, Razer has launched a new Gold Edition variant with a gold logo. The limited edition model comes with special packaging and other trinkets to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
Razer has revealed a new Gold Edition variant its Razer Phone. The limited edition model comes in special red packaging and comes with paraphernalia associated with the Chinese New Year, which is also known as the Spring Festival. The main differentiating feature on the Razer Phone itself is that the normally black logo comes embossed in gold.
The Razer Phone Gold Edition is available in the US as well as in Hong Kong, and retails for the standard US$699.99 price. Razer hasn’t indicated how many of limited edition models it will be selling, suggesting that it might be a good idea to grab one while they remain on sale.
The Razer Phone Gold Edition doesn’t pick up any special internal hardware changes, so all is not lost if it does sell out quickly. It packs the same Snapdragon 835 matched with a generous 8 GB of RAM and it remains the only smartphone on the market with its 5.7-inch display capable of refreshing at up to 120Hz.

I have been writing about consumer technology over the past ten years, previously with the former MacNN and Electronista, and now Notebookcheck since 2017. My first computer was an Apple ][c and this sparked a passion for Apple, but also technology in general. In the past decade, I’ve become increasingly platform agnostic and love to get my hands on and explore as much technology as I can get my hand on. Whether it is Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Linux, Nintendo, Xbox, or PlayStation, each has plenty to offer and has given me great joy exploring them all. I was drawn to writing about tech because I love learning about the latest devices and also sharing whatever insights my experience can bring to the site and its readership.
