The Galaxy S21 FE will be a new year's treat for Samsung fans with an early January 2022 Galaxy Unpacked event planned
Jon Prosser has shed more light on the release of the Galaxy S21 FE, the much-delayed successor to last year's Galaxy S20 FE. In October, Prosser claimed that the Galaxy S21 FE would be available from January 11, 2022, five weeks before Samsung launches the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus and the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
According to Prosser, Samsung will host separate Galaxy Unpacked events for the Galaxy S21 FE and the Galaxy S22 series. Supposedly, the former's will occur on January 4, likely in the wake of Xiaomi announcing the 12 series. For reference, the Galaxy S21 FE is expected to feature Snapdragon 888 or Exynos 2100 SoCs depending on where you live.
Additionally, Prosser claims that there will be no pre-order period for the Galaxy S21 FE, unlike the Galaxy S22 series. Hence, Samsung will start selling the device a week after it unveils it, rather than running any pre-order bonuses in between. Ultimately, the Galaxy S21 FE will be a stopgap until the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus, with which it will share its design.
