A while ago, it was revealed that Samsung would launch just two Galaxy Note 20 models: a regular Note 20 and a souped-up Note 20+. That name has now been put in doubt, however, as new documents indicate that the Note 20+ may be the Note 20 Ultra.
The upcoming Galaxy flagship with the model number "SM-N986U" seems to have been certified, and is listed with the model name "Galaxy Note 20 Ultra". That's strong evidence. Leakster Ice Universe seems to believe this is a mistake, though, and that the phone in question will be the Note 20+.
Details of the Note 20 Ultra have also been revealed by Max Weinbach of XDA-Developers. Supposedly, the phone will feature a 108 MP camera like the S20 Ultra, a 40 MP selfie camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 13 MP 4x zoom periscope shooter., a 4500 mAh battery, and the Exynos 992 in most markets.
The real kicker, however, is that it's said to use the same ultrasonic under-display fingerprint hardware as the S20 phones. A few weeks ago, word on the grapevine claimed the Note 20 phones would debut with the second-gen 3D Sonic Max fingerprint readers with a larger surface area and improved responsiveness. The fingerprint readers on the S20 phones are one of the phones' biggest weaknesses, and fixing that would have made the Note 20 duo even more attractive.

Probably more I can't think of right now, but that all sounds about right.
Since the model is N976U, logically this is the “Plus”model, but if Samsung named it as Note20 Ultra, I don’t think it’s a good thing, which means that it will sell for a higher price, and the specification is just “Plus” I still prefer this to be a mistake, Note20+ is correct. pic.twitter.com/tyNJblIMwL

Wow, as MySmartPrice reported, it seems like SM-N986U model number belongs to the #Samsung #GalaxyNote20Ultra. I was rather expecting Note20+ and not Ultra. Might be changed later. What do you think? #GalaxyNote20 #GalaxyNote20Plus pic.twitter.com/5ZWcVkxJLw
