The GeForce RTX 3090 is the most power-hungry single-GPU card to date. This, however, didn't deter EK from releasing a Quantum Vector water block that promises lower temps and (possibly) higher overclocks.

EKWB recently announced a Special Edition Quantum Vector water cooling block for the GeForce RTX 3090 Founder's Edition. The water block is currently available for pre-order on EKWB's website for US$339.99. While that's more than the launch price of the GeForce RTX 3060, the special edition quantum vector features a hybrid cooling system EKWB describes as "the most complex cooling solution" they've developed til date.

The Quantum Vector will directly cool the GPU die, VRAM, and VRM, meaning frying your VRMs isn't a risk. For the RGB-inclined, the Quantum Vector features 23 addressable RGB LEDs, compatible with a range of sync technologies.

The GeForce RTX 3090 is, currently, the most power-hungry single GPU card in existence. While exotic dual-GPU solutions like the Radeon R9 295X2 draw more power, the GeForce RTX 3090's 350W TDP is uncharted territory as far as third-party cooling solutions are concerned. The Quantum Vector has a steep price tag, but we'd expect nothing less if it can actually deliver near-ambient temps. And while overclocking is a bit of a moot point with a card this fast, we're interested to see what extreme overclockers can manage: if nothing else, the Quantum Vector will likely proper more cards straight to the top of the 3DMark Hall of Fame.
