The Dell XPS 15 9500 grabs a new dazzling colour variant
It has been just under two months since Dell released the XPS 15 9500, its first XPS 15 redesign in several years. While the announcement did not contain any great surprises from the information that Dell leaked prior to release, there was one notable absentee. We are talking about the Arctic White version, on which we reported a few months ago. Dell has been selling this version of the XPS 15 9500 in China since May, and now the company has brought it to more markets.
According to Dell, the device has an "Arctic White" palm rest, while the colour of the chassis is called "Frost". The new model is available to purchase this summer for a US$50 surcharge on the prices that Dell currently charges for the XPS 15 9500. The Frost and Arctic White colour scheme will only be available on configurations with a Core i7 processor and 16 GB of RAM or above. So, there will be no Frost Core i5-10300H models. The Frost edition will also be available in Canada, along with "participating European and Asian" countries.
It is unknown whether Dell is also planning to release a white version of the XPS 17 9700. We should stress that Dell will continue to sell the XPS 15 9500 in black and silver. The only differences between the two versions are the colour of their chassis, touchpad and keyboard, too.
