Google has announced an update for Chrome OS to version 87. This upgrade allows users to see how much battery their Bluetooth-connected peripherals have left for the first time. It also confers the ability to search through open tabs and makes the system more accessible to multilingual users.
Google has started to update Chrome OS devices to version 87. This is the one in which battery status for Bluetooth-connected devices become visibile in its UI. However, should this be too close to Android for some, the bar in question is only accessible through Settings or Quick Settings.
Chrome OS 87 also offers more streamlined searching across open tabs in browsers. It can be found in the top right corner of any window in the drop-down menu. Users on this update can also now rename saved files in Drive and move them to different folders.
It may also now be easier to re-name folders or virtual desks in this OS' launcher. The Alt+Tab switcher should also now work with a peripheral such as a mouse or stylus. Finally, Google notes there is a total of 36 new wallpapers in version 87.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
