Amazon has released the Prime Video app for Mac devices. The app includes a mix of Apple and Amazon features, such as Picture-in-Picture and X-Ray. You can also download content to your device, allowing you to watch TV and movies offline.

Amazon has launched a Prime Video app for macOS with a multitude of features. For example, the app allows you to download content to your device to watch videos offline, and you can select your preferred quality for both downloads and streaming. The app also has Apple features such as AirPlay and Picture-in-Picture, which allows you to interact with other apps and websites while watching content.

These Apple features sit alongside Amazon's tools like X-Ray, which gives you information on the cast and other behind-the-scenes details. Standard features, such as adding subtitles, auto-play and parental controls, are also available in the macOS app.

The Prime Video app gives Prime subscribers access to their usual free to watch content and allows you to access the Amazon store to purchase or rent other movies and TV series. The in-app store means you don't need to switch to your browser to make purchases. The store is connected to your Amazon account, automatically charging the payment methods stored on your account.

Amazon Prime Video app is available now for Mac devices with macOS Big Sur and later. The app is free to download from the Mac App Store.
