Tesla haters have gone on the rampage again, as a Colorado police department reports a third attack involving vandalism and attempted arson.

Tesla’s Colorado store has been targeted for the third time by vandals and suspected arsonists. The attackers struck in the early hours of Friday, according to a report by the Loveland Police Department. Law enforcement agents appeared on the scene hours later for preliminary investigations.

The building and various vehicles were left covered in offensive and hateful graffiti. While the police have not revealed the exact words sprayed on the surfaces, the media have released photos showing cars with windscreens painted with a large X. The vandals also scrawled ‘NAZI CARS’ on the dealership exterior.

Similar incidents were reported on January 29th and February 2nd at the same location. The local police are working with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. They are asking members of the public with information to step forward.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has become the face of the current administration’s effort to cut the federal government’s spending. He has led the effort to scrap federal agencies such as the USAID and lay off thousands of government employees, stirring strong emotions.

Tesla has faced attacks on its stores outside the US. A showroom in The Hague was covered in epithets, including the words ‘Nazi’ and ‘fascist,’ and swastika flags less than a week ago.
