Tesla offers unlimited overnight charging for $60/year in Texas

After the 0% Model Y APR financing and free FSD transfers, Tesla is now offering a rather creative new unlimited charging promo.

New Tesla Electric members in Texas will be able to enjoy unlimited overnight charging for just $5/month for a full year to go with their new Tesla purchase. Needless to say, they need to live in an area in Texas that allows switching electricity providers at will, in order to sign up for the virtual Tesla Electric provider bonus.

Those same Texans who purchase a new Model Y, Model 3, Cybertruck, Model S or Model X by December 31, will now be able to plug their electric vehicle for an overnight charge every day of the year for $60 in total.

Tesla has been getting really inventive with its promos lately. Besides the 0% APR and the Full Self-driving (Supervised) feature transfer, it is now offering free Supercharging and FSD trials to go towards a Q4 delivery, too.

Well, the unlimited overnight charging offer in Texas is not free, but it is priced very, very low nonetheless, as long as the proverbial new Model Y buyer is also subscribing to a Texas Electric Fixed Plan there.

With the average electric rates in Texas costing $0.14 per kWh, and much more on Supercharger, even a partial Model Y Long Range top-up would make up for the monthly outlay, so Tesla Electric members could be saving a good chunk of charging change over the course of a year to go with their new electric vehicle.
