Tesla offers free Model Y Ultra Red, Deep Blue, and Pearl White colors to mark 4th of July

Tesla is starting an Independence Day promo that gives away a free red, white or blue color option on the new 2026 Model Y, as well as on the Model S/X refresh, and the Model 3.

While there is a difference in hues between the models, a Model Y buyer who picks the Ultra Red version will save $2,500, as will those in the market for the new Model X Frost Blue Metallic version.

The Pearl White Multi-Coat paint that is shared between all the current Tesla models (save for the Cybertruck, of course), will present $1,500 in savings.

Tesla will run its Made in America free Model Y/S/X/3 promo from 4th of July until July 14th, or for ten days in total.

This is not the first time that Tesla is using free colors at up to $2,500 value as a purchase incentive. Just this past April, it introduced a 0% APR financing rate on the Model 3, and also added free colors to the mix to pad the Q2 shipment numbers.

When it lowered the price of the Model X so that it can take advantage of the government's tax credit threshold, it also gave away free coats of paint. The reverse process has also been observed, as Tesla removed the free Model 3 color options in China when it embarked on a price cut spree that spurred demand so successfully that there wasn't any need for more promos.

High demand is not the case right now for any of Tesla's vehicles, including the Model Y, so those who are in the market for one can take advantage of a red, white, or blue color option until July 14.
