Tesla Cybertruck spotted doing battery endurance testing on in-house track at Fremont factory
As the Tesla Cybertruck's much-anticipated delivery date draws ever closer, more and more leaks and spy images and videos of the upcoming electric pickup truck keep popping up online — in spite of Tesla's best efforts. These leaks and test footage give us a better idea of what to expect when it does hit the streets. Most recently, a drone operator Met God in Wilderness 在曠野遇見神, posted aerial footage of the Cybertruck moseying around Tesla's Fremont test track.
While not confirmed, the video description claims that the Cybertruck is undergoing battery endurance testing. Much like in last week's Cybertruck video that we covered, the tonneau cover is neatly deployed over the bed of the pickup truck.
If Tesla is testing for battery endurance, testing with the bed closed would likely paint the Cybertruck in its best light. It stands to reason that Tesla would test the Cybertruck in a number of different configurations, though, as it seemingly has done with its previous stint in New Zealand for cold-weather testing. According to Tesla, the Cybertruck will have over 500 miles (804.5 km) of range.
All the testing Tesla is putting the Cybertruck through, together with the seeming lack of design changes to the test mules we keep seeing, indicates that Tesla is in the final stages of preparation for the Cybertruck launch and large-scale production.
