Details of the Meizu 16s have appeared via TENAA and there don’t seem to be many surprises. As expected, the data offered suggests a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 is in charge of proceedings, which will help explain the very impressive scores the purported device has been scoring lately on benchmarks like AnTuTu and Geekbench.
The 6.2-inch AMOLED display (2232x1080) is surrounded by narrow bezels, and the selfie camera is placed in the top-right corner (you can just see it in the image below of a black variant of the Meizu 16s). We were expecting 6 GB RAM, but 8 GB is listed on the TENAA documents. The device listed as “alps m1971” on AnTuTu and Geekbench reportedly had 6 GB RAM, so this is possibly a Meizu 16s variant or even a completely different smartphone.
Other details include Android 9 Pie, 128 GB storage (256 GB storage variant has been mentioned elsewhere), black/white/gradient blue color options, 166 g weight, and a 3540 mAh battery. As for the cameras, there are three of them: The aforementioned subtle selfie shooter (20 MP) and a rear-facing dual camera setup (48 MP + 2 MP depth sensor).
