Customers not happy with HD Voice can now test a new network upgrade. Dubbed Enhanced Voice Services, this technology promises to improve three key aspects of modern voice communication - reliability, quality, flexibility.
These are the strong parts of EVS in detail, as described by T-Mobile:
- Improved voice call reliability - less frequent dropped calls on LTE in areas of weaker signal
- High-fidelity calls - better quality than HD Voice, thanks to a broader frequency range, thus providing more realistic voice audio
- Flexibility - works on WiFi and T-Mobile LTE
Even better than the above, T-Mobile customers with compatible handsets can enjoy the benefits provided by EVS when the person they are talking to does not use an EVS-capable device. Right now, only LG G5 and the two Galaxy S7 handsets on T-Mobile support EVS, but the carrier is working on adding 7 more compatible smartphones to the list by the end of 2016.

In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years. I've been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
