SwitchBot is mostly known for its robot vacuums and other smart home devices. With the SwitchBot AI Art Frame, the company is now introducing a new product that heavily relies on artificial intelligence. This digital picture frame can create its own artwork via AI.
The SwitchBot AI Art Frame is officially available for purchase and comes in three different sizes. Prices start at $149 for the smallest model with a 7.3-inch display. The 13.3-inch version costs $349, while the largest 31.5-inch model is priced at $1,299. The aluminum alloy frame can be customized with frames from Ikea’s Rödalm lineup.
The digital picture frame is based on an E Ink Spectra 6 panel. SwitchBot claims it delivers the texture and depth of real paintings with vivid layered colors and a paper-like surface. The display doesn’t need a backlight and is glare-free. The panel is also supposed to be highly efficient and doesn’t consume much power. Either way, the device is equipped with a 2,000mAh battery for completely wireless usage. With one image change per week, the battery can apparently last for up to two years.
In addition to displaying personal pictures, 10 of which can be stored locally, the SwitchBot AI Art Frame can also generate artwork via AI. The AI Studio is based on NanoBanana and lets users create original artwork via an AI prompt or AI remix feature that utilizes text inputs, sketches and more. A 30-day free trial includes up to 400 AI-generated images, after that the subscription costs $3.99 per month.
