Subnautica: Below Zero releasing on Android and iOS with preorder discount

Following the release of its prequel on mobile platforms last year, Subnautica: Below Zero will be available on Android and iOS starting 10 March 2026, marking its debut on smartphones and tablets. As expected, the mobile versions include several adjustments, such as a revised interface designed to make the game playable with touch controls alone. Even so, the developer has confirmed MFi support, giving players the option to use mobile game controllers instead. Save data is stored locally and also synced to the cloud. As a result, players can access their progress across multiple devices without having to transfer game saves manually. For example, they can play on a tablet at home and continue their adventure on a smartphone whilst travelling. The game reportedly also includes optimisations for the iPhone 15 series.
Subnautica: Below Zero is an open-world survival game set on the icy planet 4546B. Besides advancing the main storyline, players can express their creativity through activities such as base building. The title also features a rather extensive crafting system requiring players to gather a variety of materials. Subnautica: Below Zero will launch on iOS and Android at a fairly reasonable price of $10. Those who preorder the game are also eligible for a 10% discount. The game typically takes around 20 to 30 hours to complete and holds a 91% rating on OpenCritic based on critic reviews, though this score reflects the existing PC and console releases.
