The Warfare Legacy Collection brings back the classic Flash-based World War strategy games Warfare 1917 and Warfare 1944 in remastered form, adding a new Battle of the Bulge campaign. Instead of the traditional isometric perspective, it adopts a distinctive side-scrolling view. The collection holds a 93% positive rating on Steam and is now 25% off for the first time, bringing the price down to around $7.50.

The Warfare Legacy Collection combines the classic strategy games Warfare 1917 and Warfare 1944 in updated definitive editions and adds a brand-new Battle of the Bulge campaign. What sets it apart from traditional World War strategy titles is its distinctive side-scrolling perspective, which offers a surprisingly fresh experience despite the age of the original releases.

Players take command of British, German, or US forces and engage in tactical tug-of-war battles featuring infantry, tanks, and artillery. Beyond the historical campaigns, custom battles can be created using freely selected units and maps. The collection carries the “Playable” tag on the Steam Deck (available on Amazon for $775), indicating that it should run smoothly on modern handheld devices.

Released in April 2025, the Warfare Legacy Collection has received nearly 900 reviews on Steam. Many players praise its strong nostalgic appeal, as Warfare 1917 originally launched as a Flash game back in 2008. At the same time, the relatively short playtime of around three to six hours has led some users to question its value for money. As a result, many recommend picking it up during a sale – and that opportunity has now arrived.

25% off on Steam for the first time

Developed by Con Artist Games and published by Armor Games Studios, the Warfare Legacy Collection is normally priced at around $10 on Steam. Until March 2, however, it is 25% off. According to SteamDB, this brings the price down to about $7.50 for the first time.
