Samsung has recently announced that its next Unpacked special event will take place on August 13. While the launch of Galaxy Note 5 appears to be imminent, there is no official confirmation yet. However, industry insiders claim that Samsung's next-gen phablet will be unveiled during next month's event and will hit the market about a week later, starting August 21st. In the meantime, those interested in a new Note can already pre-order a case and/or a screen protector.

Spigen currently lists no less than nine accessories for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 - a screen protector and eight cases. The cases start at $14.99 USD and can be pre-ordered for up to $34.99 USD, while the Galaxy Note 5 Screen Protector GLAS.tR SLIM can also be acquired for $34.99 USD

Unfortunately, all these accessories will ship pretty late, on September 30. On the other hand, this date may change after the release of the phablet, so we will let you know if anything changes. Samsung will probably offer such accessories to those interested at launch or very soon after it, as usual.

Although I have been writing about new software and hardware for almost a decade, I consider myself to be old school. I always enjoy listening to music on CD or tape instead of digital files and I will not even get into the touchscreen vs physical keys debate. However, I also enjoy new technology, as I now have the chance to take a look at the future every day. I joined the Notebookcheck crew back in 2013 and I have no plans to leave the ship anytime soon.
