Sony officially announces free PS Plus games for June 2023
Aside from the upcoming Days of Play promotion, PlayStation owners with an active PS Plus Essential subscription can once again benefit from three free games in June 2023, as the Japanese gaming behemoth Sony has now officially unveiled which exact titles will be offered next month. Sports fans might be particularly happy about one of the free PS Plus games for PlayStation 4 and 5.
Just in time for this year’s best-of-seven finals series between the Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat, the according basketball simulation from 2K Sports, NBA 2K23, can be downloaded and played for free starting June 6. The game is the most current iteration in the long-established series, whose next entry will probably hit the market in September 2023. Compared to the current price on Amazon, gamers with a Sony PlayStation 5 can save up to US$38 by downloading the game for free as part of their PS Plus subscription.
PlayStation owners who prefer to manage a virtual business and are fascinated by some certain extinct creatures may want to take a look at Jurassic World Evolution 2, which is the second game that PS Plus members can play for free in June 2023. Last but not least, the Japanese action adventure Trek to Yomi completes next month’s lineup of free games, although the title only garnered mixed reviews and currently stands at a metascore of 69. Overall, this might not be the strongest month ever for PS Plus subscribers, but considering the summer slump is just around the corner, Sony's selection of titles is quite solid.
