Shuttle has announced the XPC Slim DH610 and XPC Slim DH610S, a pair of mini-PCs based on current-generation Intel Alder Lake hardware. Sold as barebones units, the pair differ in a few areas, although they share more similarities than differences.

Shuttle has revised its mini-PC offering with the XPC Slim DH610 and XPC Slim DH610S, two models equipped with the LGA 1700 socket. As such, Shuttle sells the pair with Intel Alder Lake processors, with SKUs ranging from lowly Pentium Gold models to powerful Core i9 editions with 65 W TDPs. Fundamentally, the XPC Slim DH610 and XPC Slim DH610S are similar machines, albeit with some differences in a few areas.

On the one hand, the XPC Slim DH610 contains twin RS-232 connections, a feature that the XPC Slim DH610S lacks. Additionally, Shuttle equips the XPC Slim DH610 with two Ethernet connections, of which one conforms to the 2.5 Gbit standard. Conversely, the XPC Slim DH610S offers a sole Gigabit Ethernet connection and can only power two external monitors. For some reason, Shuttle allows the XPC Slim DH610 to output to three external monitors simultaneously.

Separately, each unit measures 19 x 16.5 x 4.3 cm and features two S0DIMM slots for up to 64 GB of RAM. For reference, Shuttle complements the high RAM amount with an M.2 2280 slot (PCIe Gen 3) and a 2.5-inch drive bay. Moreover, Shuttle equips both models with numerous other ports, including DisplayPort, HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A. While Shuttle has not confirmed full pricing details publicly, some retailers are already selling the XPC Slim DH610S from €281, with the XPC Slim DH610 coming in at €307.
