Smartwatches and smart rings can measure sleep quality, but they do little to help you fall asleep. This is where Serapis comes in, a pyramid-shaped gadget that sits on your bedside table and is designed to help with a range of sleep problems.
To do this, Serapis users take a free online sleep test, which asks a few questions to determine which mode is best for helping them fall asleep. Depending on the mode selected, the pyramid combines the three sleep features in different ways. First, there is a pattern with RGB lighting that can glow or pulsate in a color of your choice, which is said to have a calming effect on people who prefer to have a little light when falling asleep.
Secondly, the pyramid can play a constant noise with a frequency of 7.83 Hz, known as the Schumann resonance, which is said to correspond to the Earth's electromagnetic waves. Thirdly and lastly, Serapis can play white noise in different frequency ranges, which can mask disturbing ambient noise. Whether these features actually help users to fall asleep is likely to vary from person to person. The pyramid is controlled by buttons on the front and does not require an app.
Price and availability
Serapis is currently being funded on Kickstarter, finanziert, where the sleep pyramid can be pre-ordered for $119, not including shipping. The retail price is expected to rise to $239. Delivery is expected to begin in March 2026. As this is the company's first Kickstarter project, caution is advised, as it cannot be ruled out that the product may be delivered late, with quality defects or not at all.
