Deal | Seiko reverse-panda chronograph gets a hefty discount at Costco

Costco is currently offering the Seiko SSB429 chronograph for $169.99, substantially below the official list price of $265, effectively discounting it by roughly 36%. It is listed on Costco's online store for the aforementioned price. The retailer notes that its watches may also be available at selected Costco warehouses, with pricing and availability expected to vary by location.
The Seiko SSB429 features a 41.5 mm stainless-steel case measuring 12 mm thick and 46.5 mm lug-to-lug distance. It is powered by Seiko's 8T63 quartz movement, which offers a chronograph capable of measuring up to 60 minutes in 0.2-second increments. The movement also provides a 24-hour display, with a date window sitting between the four and five o'clock positions.
The watch gets its reverse-panda appearance from a black dial and three contrasting white subdials. A tachymeter scale around the dial can be used with the chronograph to calculate average speed over a known distance.
Seiko's LumiBrite luminous material is applied to the hands and indices for visibility in low-light environments. The dial is protected by the company's hardened Hardlex mineral crystal. Other Seiko SSB429 specifications include 100 m (10 bar) water resistance and a stainless-steel bracelet with a three-fold clasp and push-button release and a weight of 151 g.
