The Satechi OntheGo USB-C Lanyard Cable has been released globally. This new accessory has two functions. Firstly, it can be used as a USB-C to USB-C cable to charge a device or transfer files. Secondly, it can act as a lanyard to secure your phone to your person via the adjustable length cable.

Satechi has launched the new OntheGo USB-C Lanyard Cable in markets worldwide. This multifunctional accessory is designed to allow you to wear your phone crossbody or around your neck, making it easier to carry and more secure.

The Satechi USB-C to USB-C cable supports up to 60W charging. It can also be used for file transfers, with a 480 Mbps bandwidth. According to Satechi, this should allow you to transfer 100 photos in ten seconds, or an HD movie in around two minutes. However, it is worth noting that this cable does not support a video output.

The accessory is attached to your phone case with an adhesive-backed connecter card; users can choose between black and transparent versions. You can detach the cable from the device using the carabiner. Each end of the USB-C cable is protected by an aluminum cap, and the 4.9 ft (1.5 m) adjustable length cable has a durable braided coating. According to the product listing, the accessory weighs 2.93 oz (~83.1 g).

You can now buy the Satechi OntheGo USB-C Lanyard Cable at Amazon for $29.99/£29.99/€34.99. There are three colors to choose from: Black, Sand (beige) and Desert Rose (pink).
