The Galaxy S24 FE has been available to buy for almost six months now and during that period it has received some huge discounts. Now, the device is once again on sale, and at its new price, it makes for a good alternative to the newly-announced iPhone 16e.
When Samsung released the Galaxy S24 FE in September 2024, it sold for $649.99 for the 128GB version and $709.99 for the 256GB version. For a limited time, you can buy the 128GB version for $499.99 on Amazon, 23% or $150 off its launch price.
It isn't the lowest price it has ever sold for as Amazon knocked off $200 during its Black Friday sales, bringing it down to $449.99; nevertheless, this is still a pretty good deal. On the other hand, the 256GB version with double the storage is down to $559.99 (21% off), matching its Black Friday price.
At $499.99 (or $559.99 for the 256GB variant), the Galaxy S24 FE costs less than the iPhone 16e which is available to preorder for $599 for the 128GB version and $699 for the 256GB version. Not only are you spending less, but you are also getting more value.
The Galaxy S24 FE's 6.7'' FHD+ display is bigger, brighter and has a 120Hz refresh rate whereas the iPhone 16e's display refreshes at 60Hz. Samsung's phone also has three rear cameras which include a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultrawide angle camera while the iPhone 16e has a single 48MP camera.
Other features of the Galaxy S24 FE are support for Samsung DeX, a 4700mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, IP68 dust and water resistance, and a multitude of AI features such as Photo Assist, Sketch to Image, Circle to Search, Interpreter, Live Translate, and Browsing Assist. And with the promise of 7 years of OS upgrades and 7 years of security updates, the Galaxy S24 FE will be supported through to 2034.
