Samsung bolsters The Frame’s gallery pitch with San Francisco modern art

Samsung has added a new San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) collection to its Art Store platform, with 34 works rolling out globally on March 17. The update expands the catalog available to users of supported Samsung Art TVs.
Samsung says SFMOMA is the first West Coast museum to join Samsung Art Store. The collection includes works by Diego Rivera, Henri Matisse, Wayne Thiebaud, Jackson Pollock, Piet Mondrian, and Robert Rauschenberg. Samsung also highlighted specific pieces such as Rivera’s The Flower Carrier, Matisse’s Femme au chapeau, Thiebaud’s Display Cakes, Pollock’s Guardians of the Secret, and Mondrian’s New York City 2.
Samsung adds another museum collection to Art Store
The announcement is centered on the Samsung Art Store rather than a new hardware release. Samsung says the platform now includes partnerships with more than 80 museums, galleries, and other collaborators, with the SFMOMA tie-up adding another major institution to that list.
According to Samsung, the new release also marks the first time works by Robert Rauschenberg and Wayne Thiebaud have been made available through Samsung Art Store.
Samsung links the update to its Art TV lineup
Alongside the collection launch, Samsung again pointed to the display features it promotes for its Art TV range, including Anti-Reflection with Matte Display, Pantone Validated ArtfulColor, and customizable bezels. The company also referenced The Frame Pro, which it says combines Neo QLED 4K picture quality with a Wireless One Connect Box.
For Art Store users, the update is straightforward: Samsung is adding a 34-work SFMOMA collection to the service, giving the platform another museum-backed set of recognizable modern works.
