The Samsung Galaxy Ring has appeared in the brand’s Good Lock app. The Good Lock app allows you to customize Samsung devices, adjusting the appearance of your phone’s interface. Reddit user u/SpottedMe shared a screenshot from a Samsung Galaxy S24+, where the app now offers an option for the upcoming Galaxy Ring device on the Battery widget.
The Battery widget lets you quickly view the charge level of various connected devices on your phone. Some have speculated that Samsung’s inclusion of the Galaxy Ring in the app at this point means it will launch the new wearable sooner than expected; it was initially predicted that the smart ring would go on sale this summer, during July or August.
Samsung teased the wearable at the Galaxy Unpacked event, though it had appeared in a patent and the source code of the company’s Health app before this. The features of the smart ring are unclear, though Samsung executive Hon Pak recently spoke about the company’s intention to deliver new technology for non-invasive blood glucose monitoring and continuous blood pressure measurements, saying these would be part of a wider focus on health features for various devices, including the Galaxy Ring. We remain waiting for Samsung to officially announce the launch date of the Galaxy Ring, along with its features and pricing.
