Samsung Pay is expected to debut in India in the first half of the year and handsets are already starting to receive the update. According to SamMobile, the latest software update for the Galaxy Note 5 packed the Samsung Pay app as well. Now, the time has arrived for the Galaxy A7 (2016) to receive the same treatment.
SamMobile's sources claim that the firmware version A710FXXU2BPJ7 now rolls out in India and, sadly, there are no significant changes inside it. Leaving the Samsung Pay app aside, there is no new security patch or any major improvement to talk about. However, other compatible devices are expected to receive Samsung Pay support in the coming weeks as well, in advance for the official launch of the service in the country.
Recent reports reveal that Samsung will team up with American Express to launch the service, adding support for MasterCard and Visa after a while as well.
