After the key details about the cameras of the Samsung Galaxy A58 5G recently leaked, GalaxyClub has now also obtained information about the cameras of the Galaxy A38 5G. Customers should brace themselves for disappointment with this model as well, as GalaxyClub's information suggests that Samsung will use the cameras of the Galaxy A37 5G ($437 on Amazon) unchanged in the Galaxy A38 5G.
Accordingly, the Galaxy A38 5G has a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12 MP ultrawide camera, a 5 MP macro camera and a 12 MP selfie camera. According to GalaxyClub, the smartphone therefore uses the same camera setup as the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A37, but that is not entirely accurate, as the main camera of the Galaxy A37 did at least receive an upgrade from a 1/1.96-inch to a 1/1.56-inch sensor, bringing it in line with the more expensive Galaxy A57. However, the ultrawide camera with its tiny 1/4-inch sensor is barely more useful than the 5 MP macro camera.
Details about the rest of the Samsung Galaxy A38 5G's specifications are not yet known, and the camera information should also be treated with caution for now. While GalaxyClub has frequently revealed accurate information about new Samsung smartphones ahead of time in the past, the next-generation midrange smartphones are not expected to launch until March or April 2027, so Samsung's plans could still change before production begins.
