Sega has announced a roster of games coming to its lineup for the Tokyo Game Show 2025, which includes four mystery titles that are yet to be unveiled.
Tokyo Game Show 2025 is scheduled between September 25 and 28 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, and will feature a mix of confirmed games along with some mystery placeholders titled, simply labeled as coming soon on Sega’s TGS website.
These four unknown titles have stirred up conversations among gamers, speculating as to what they might be, with some eyeing new and returning IPs.
Among the games confirmed for Sega’s Tokyo Game Show roster are Sonic Racing: Crossworlds, which launched coincidentally on the same day as the start of the showcase. Team Sonic has collaborated with the Initial D Arcade development team to introduce a new “CrossWorld” mechanic, which allows players to switch between tracks mid-race.
Also joining Sega’s panel at TGS 2025 will be Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage, which is scheduled for an enhanced release on October 30, 2025, for the PS5, Xbox Series S|X, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
Sega’s celebrated studio, Atlus, will feature a hands-on preview of Persona 3: Reload, which is set to finally release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 23, 2025, alongside Persona 5: The Phantom X, a mobile and PC spin-off which launched earlier in June 2025.
Furthermore, attendees at TGS will get to participate in Football Manager 26 and Sega Football Club Champions 2025 matches and earn prizes.
That leaves onlookers with four titles which are yet to be confirmed, particularly Ry Ga Gotoku Studios. The studio is scheduled to have its annual RGG Summit just a day before the Tokyo Game Show kicks off on September 24, 2025, and will likely give us info on one of the upcoming mystery titles.
Last year’s RGG Summit gave us Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, which launched later in February 2025, creating a possibility for a Yakuza: Kenzan! Remaster announcement. While another strong contender for the panel could be a gameplay teaser for Ryu Ga Gotoku’s new IP, Stranger Than Heaven.
Another likely game for the panel is the new Virtua Fighter Project, with further in-engine gameplay footage. Fans are also crossing their fingers for a Jet Set Radio or Crazy Taxi reboot, given Sega’s “Power Surge” initiative to revive dormant IPs.
