The Zen 5 based eight core, 16 thread CPU is an excellent mid-range offering that, when paired with a decent GPU, can deliver solid 1440p gaming experience in most demanding AAA games. It is a strong competitor to the Intel Core i7-14700K and can outperform the Core i5-14600K in most games.

Amazon has the Ryzen 7 9700X listed for $289, which is a $70 discount from its typical price tag of $359.
