Rokid has unveiled the AR Spatial, augmented reality glasses with the ability to project a 300-inch FHD virtual screen for games, movies, and work using 0.68-inch 1,200p 90Hz Sony micro-OLED displays capable of 600 nits of brightness.
The AR Spatial glasses use a USB-C cable to connect to an external YodaOS-Master OS controller with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM powered by a 5,000 mAh battery. Two models are available - one with support for Google services and major streaming sites such as Netflix, and one without. The device supports spatial mult-screen mode for web browsing and work. All apps can be controlled using the built-in touchpad and have access to the internet and peripherals through Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 wireless connections.
The glasses can compensate for myopia (nearsightedness) with built-in diopter adjustment from 0.00D to -6.00D, and the pupillary distance can be adjusted to fit each wearer's eyes. The glasses weigh merely 75 grams (2.6 oz.) and measure 21.21 x 12.6 x 9.7 cm (8.35 x 4.96 x 3.82 in.).
The Rokid AR Spatial with support for Google services and major streaming media sites has an MSRP of $698, with a pre-order price of $648. The Rokid AR Spatial without support for such services is immediately available for $598. Both models can be ordered from the company website. Rokid's other AR glasses can be found on the Rokid store on Amazon.
