Void Interactive took to X to announce Ready or Not's impressive 3 million copies sold on console platforms.

Ready or Not has achieved a record of 13 million copies sold across all platforms since its Early Access debut on Steam back in December 2021.

Of the 13 million units sold, a significant chunk, specifically 3 million copies, came from the game’s console versions, achieved in less than two months following its launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X. Void Interactive announced the milestone of three million on X.

Ready or Not’s console port sold one million units in just four days after it made the jump to PS5 and Xbox on July 15, 2025. Despite the backlash surrounding the game due to censoring certain mission sequences to meet ESRB ratings, Ready or Not still managed to cement itself as one of the fastest-selling tactical shooters on console.

Void Interactive celebrated this milestone achievement in a press release and detailed how the game grew from a niche tactical SWAT simulator to a multi-platform hit with its incredibly immersive high-stakes missions.

However, Void Interactive went through a bumpy launch due to the heated controversy that erupted from the previously mentioned censoring to comply with content ratings on the Xbox Series S|X and PS5. These cuts included the ability to dismember enemies after death, and certain instances of nudity, changes that the developer described as relatively minor and not affecting Ready or Not’s core gameplay in any shape or form.

Fans took to Steam to review-bomb the game, driving its Recent Reviews rating down to Mostly Negative as fans considered these changes unnecessary censorship. Other gamers noted that the game had seen a slight visual downgrade on PC after the update, with reports of low-resolution textures in-game, even after Void Interactive acknowledged and issued a bug fix in an August patch.

Void Interactive responded to the uproar and labeled it “misconceptions and misinformation.” Fortunately, the game has recovered from the aftermath of the review-bombing, as its ratings have rebounded to Mostly Positive, while the usual minority of the game’s fan base remains displeased.

Despite all the turbulence, Ready or Not has cemented itself with three million console sales and 13 million total lifetime sales, proving itself as one of the most enduring tactical shooters of this decade.
