The Rayeno Air 4 smart glasses have been officially introduced in China. This new pair of AR glasses features an audio setup tuned by Bang & Olufsen, micro-OLED displays with HDR10, and a lightweight design, weighing 76 grams.

Rayneo has formally launched the Air 4 in China. The new smart glasses build upon the 3S Pro and offer a handful of new features. Among all is the improved audio setup that's tuned by Bang & Olufsen, promising an even more immersive listening experience than the previous models.

There's a dedicated DSP chip as well, which, paired with the Bang & Olufsen tuning, is claimed to make the AR glasses offer "flagship headphone level" audio. Another notable improvement over the Air 3S Pro is that the new smart glasses have HDR10 displays.

This upgrade, combined with the Pixelworks custom chipset, is said to offer enhanced image quality over the predecessors. There's a dynamic HDR tech in place, which converts SDR content to HDR with AI. Rayneo further highlights that the tandem micro-OLED displays of the Air 4 can produce 10-bit color for immersive viewing.

The new AR glasses have eye protection features that are similar to those of a "flagship phone," including 3840 Hz PWM dimming. However, the micro-OLED panels have the same 1,200 nits brightness rating as in the Air 3S Pro (non-Pro curr. $215.20 on Amazon). Rayneo also has a Pro variant, and the only difference appears to be support for 3D Audio.

As for the price, the new Air 4 costs CNY 1,599 in China, about $224, while the Pro model goes for CNY 1,799, around $253. Rayneo didn't share when the new smart glasses will launch outside China, but the brand is known for bringing most of its products to the global market.
