The first sign of AMD's top-tier laptop GPU has appeared. Based on the leak, AMD has equipped the Radeon RX 6800M with its Navi 22 GPU, the same one used for the RX 6700 XT.

It has been a while since AMD released the Radeon RX 5000M cards like the RX 5600M and RX 5700M, both based on its Navi 10 (RDNA 1.0) GPU. Since then, the company has launched RDNA 2 desktop cards of various forms while partnering with Microsoft and Sony on the GPUs in their next-generation consoles. However, the company has teased that RX 6000 series laptops will be 'coming soon'.

While AMD is yet to confirm when RX 6000 series laptops will be arriving, @KOMACHI_ENSAKA has found references to the RX 6800M in AMD's latest display driver. According to Videocardz, AMD has assigned a Device ID of 73D5:C3, one which nestles between two RX 6700 XT SKUs. From that, the website has deduced that the RX 6800M is also based on AMD's Navi 22 GPU. Additionally, it asserts that the RX 6800M has the full Navi 22 at its disposal since both RX 6700 XT variants do.

AMD is expected to release four laptop GPUs based on the Navi 22. The RX 6800M is believed to have a 145 W TGP, while the RX 6700M may sit at 10 W lower. Moreover, Videocardz has discovered that AMD plans to bring 90 W and 100 W variants of the Navi 22 to market too, which it may release as lower power versions of the RX 6700M and RX 6800M.
