The 2023 Acer Nitro 16 is back on sale with a massive 31% discount in tow. Powered by a Ryzen 7 7840HS, an RTX 4060 laptop GPU, 16 GB of RAM, and a 1TB Gen 4 SSD, the Nitro 16 features mid-range power that is enough to ensure 60 FPS FHD gaming in modern titles.

The Acer Nitro 16 (AN16-41) that launched back in 2023 has repeatedly gone on sale in the past months. For instance, we informed back in June that the Nitro 16 with a Ryzen 7 7840HS and an RTX 4060 laptop GPU was available for only $999.99. This was the lowest price for the machine at the time.

We are happy to report that the Acer Nitro 16 price has now dropped even further. You can currently buy the Nitro 16 for only $899.99 on Woot, a discount of 31% on the $1,299.99 list price.

It needs to be mentioned here that, although the Nitro 16 on sale on Woot is “New”, Woot is only offering a 90-day limited warranty. If you want the official manufacturer warranty (Acer offers a 1-year warranty for notebooks), Amazon is currently selling the Nitro 16 at a slightly higher price of $957.47. The price is lower than Amazon’s deal from June.

Whichever retailer you choose to get the Acer Nitro 16 from, you will get a machine that will be a solid gaming laptop thanks to the 8-core Ryzen 7 7840HS and the RTX 4060 combo. Per our testing, the Ryzen 7 7840HS offers rock solid single and multi-core performance, while the RTX 4060 laptop GPU is powerful enough to run demanding games at FHD resolution without a hitch.

Games will also look quite decent on the Acer Nitro 16’s 16-inch FHD+ IPS display. Our review revealed that the panel covers the entirety of the sRGB gamut, offers up to 520 nits of brightness, and a contrast ratio of 1,333:1. Moreover, the screen also boasts a 165 Hz refresh rate and Nvidia G-Sync/AMD FreeSync support.

The Acer Nitro 16 also handles other important aspects like fan noise decently well. The laptop was quiet during everyday use in our testing. Similarly, heat output was at an acceptable level with the machine only recording high temps under stress.

Finally, Acer has also managed to get the battery life of the Nitro 16 right as the laptop managed 9 hours of endurance in our WLAN test.

To sum it all up, if you want a gaming machine that is both affordable and doesn't compromise on performance, the Acer Nitro 16 for $899.99 is a lot of laptop for the money.
