About one month ahead of this year's highly anticipated Black Friday, the large American retailer Best Buy has already kicked off the holiday shopping season with a bunch of notable tech deals, which include some pretty decent sales for numerous budget-friendly gaming laptops. In addition to a very enticing deal for the HP Victus, a slightly more expensive 15-inch gaming laptop made by the reputable Chinese brand Lenovo has now gone on sale as well.

To be more precise, Best Buy has discounted a mid-range configuration of the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 by US$350 or 38 percent, which brings the price of the 15-inch gaming laptop down to just US$550 including free shipping or store pickup where stock permits. This machine is equipped with the fast AMD Ryzen 5 5600H hexa-core processor as well as a dedicated Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU with 4GB of VRAM and a TGP of 90 watts. This particular version of the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 also comes with a 256GB SSD and rather paltry 8GB of memory, which can be easily upgraded with an additional DDR4 RAM module (from US$27 on Amazon).

Please also note that, as with almost any notebook in this budget price range, the 120Hz IPS display of the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 won't get particularly bright or surprise gamers with vibrant colors. However, the 1080p gaming performance of this affordable gaming laptop should suffice to play current games at reasonable settings, which is probably good enough for the majority of frugal gamers.
