The Pokémon Company has officially launched a new series of life-sized plush toys featuring Eevee and its evolutions, which marks a major highlight of the ongoing “Year of Eevee” campaign. The first wave, which is now available, includes Eevee, Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon. Meanwhile, Umbreon, Espeon, Glaceon, Leafeon, and Sylveon are slated for release later in the year.
The plushies are ‘life-sized’, which means they are crafted to match the Pokédex sizes of each Pokémon. Eevee measures approximately 16 inches, while Flareon is 25 inches, Vaporeon is 27 inches, and Jolteon tops the first batch at 32 inches. As per the official product description, the plushies are made from polyester fibre, polyurethane, and other materials, and are surface-wash only. They are recommended for ages 8 and up.
As far as prices are concerned, they vary with the plushies’ sizes. Eevee retails for around $27 (¥3,850) in Japan and $40 in the U.S., while each evolved plush is priced at approximately $306 (¥44,000) in Japan and $400 in the U.S. At the time of writing, the new plushies are up for pre-order on the Pokémon Center website. Eevee will be shipped mid-June, while Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon will be shipped in mid-November.
Further, Espeon and Umbreon will open for preorders this summer, followed by Glaceon, Leafeon, and Sylveon in the fall. Considering the prices, enthusiasts can expect to spend about $2,500 for the complete set.
