Pixel 9 Pro XL users report problems with wireless charging

It wouldn't be a new Pixel phone without a few hardware bugs. 

Users on Reddit, Google's forums, and other sites have reported issues when wirelessly charging the new Pixel 9 Pro XL. While not all wireless chargers work with all phones, the problem seems persistent enough to cause an uproar. Even Google's own wireless charger has issues juicing up the Pixel 9 Pro XL, according to some users.

According to one Reddit user, Google's support team is apparently aware of the bug and already working on a fix. This is a single statement, however.

While small speedbumps like this aren't uncommon in a new smartphone, the Pixel line is notorious for its launch-day issues and flubs. The Pixel 9 seems to be carrying on this legacy, with disappointing performance, battery life woes, and thermal throttling troubles. The Pixel 8 had some disappointing issues at its launch as well. While it could be that Google's quality analysis still misses some glaring bugs prior to launching its smartphones, it seems more likely that Pixel users (which are commonly tech enthusiasts) are more outspoken about issues in their devices. 

It should be noted that currently, only the Pixel 9 Pro XL seems to be affected by this wireless charging bug, and only with some wireless chargers.
