78.1% Panasonic Toughbook FZ-A3 Tablet Review: When Thin Meets Rugged | Notebookcheck
Despite being designed to withstand drops and industrial environments, the Tough FZ-A3 is lighter and smaller than we had initially expected. It's one of the few rugged tablets thus far, if not the only one, with both a glossy 800-nit display and the promise of an Android 10 update.

The Panasonic Toughbook A3 is well-suited for tough jobs in less than ideal conditions thanks to its IP65 and MIL-STD-810G certifications. The tablet features an 800 nit display with anti-reflective coating for outdoor use and the device can easily be customized to meet the needs of both field workers and first responders.

I really love Panasonic Toughbooks. As I've said a few times, it just feels like they can do anything. They're expandable, they have cellular connectivity, and more. With 4G LTE, a super-bright screen, and powerful audio, I feel like the Toughbook A3 can be used anywhere.

Panasonic Toughbook FZ-S1 Rugged Tablet Review: Optimized For The Mobile Workforce | Notebookcheck
Android 10 offers a cleaner and smoother UI experience than past rugged Android tablets while the bright glossy display is definitely nowhere near as grainy. However, any specialized accessories for the FZ-S1 will be a commitment as they are not compatible with other Toughbook devices.

Panasonic Toughbook FZ-G2 rugged convertible review: Tablet with removable M.2 PCIe storage | Notebookcheck
Panasonic's expansive Toughbook lineup is getting better and better with each iteration especially in terms of display quality. The older Comet Lake-U CPU, however, holds it back a bit.
80% Panasonic Toughbook G2 review: Rugged, compact and configurable
Source: Zdnet.com English
Panasonic's Toughbook G2 is a fully rugged 10.1-inch tablet that can be turned into a compact 2-in-1 with the addition of a keyboard dock. The tablet itself has two expansion bays (three if you go for the Quick Release SSD version) that can accept a range of modules. Panasonic also offers an array of external accessories, allowing this device to be configured for multiple challenging use cases. The Toughbook G2's performance is well matched to the tasks it's likely to handle, and the standard battery should deliver a full day's work in the field, away from a mains power source. If the G2's 10.1-inch screen is too small, other options are available from Panasonic in the shape of the 12-inch Toughbook 33 (2-in-1) and 14-inch Toughbook 40 (laptop).

The Panasonic Toughbook G2 provides the power of a rugged laptop with the versatility and portability of a rugged tablet. While the optional keyboard dock expands the tablet’s functionality, the real star of the show is the device’s modular design and the user-removable xPAK expansion packs. The Toughbook G2 is also backwards-compatible with accessories from its predecessors, the Toughbook G1 and Toughbook 20.

83.9% Panasonic Toughbook FZ-55 MK2 rugged laptop review: Iris Xe makes all the difference | Notebookcheck
The 2021 Toughbook FZ-55 MK2 is an excellent example of how far Intel has come since its Whiskey Lake-U days on the original 2019 Toughbook FZ-55 MK1. If you want to maximize performance without necessarily drawing more power, then the FZ-55 Mark 2 is a no-brainer.
80% Panasonic Toughbook 55 Mk2 (2021)
Source: PC Mag English
The Toughbook 55 is a semi-rugged laptop, a term that Panasonic itself uses to denote a machine that will withstand the stresses of a first responder’s daily routine, though can’t be submerged in water or used in a dust storm. Freed from the need to meet the ultimate rugged certifications, the Toughbook 55 instead sports a relatively compact chassis and oodles of customization options. For many buyers the similar Getac B360 will be a better choice, since it’s roughly the same size and has slightly better rugged certifications. The B360 therefore retains our Editors’ Choice award. For organizations who already have Toughbook infrastructure like vehicle docks and who are able to negotiate favorable pricing with Panasonic, though, the Toughbook 55 could be a better choice. Add in easily swappable components (like a barcode reader) that many other rugged machines don’t offer, and you’ve got an excellent semi-rugged laptop.

Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.

Qualcomm Adreno 512: Integrated graphics card based on the Adreno 500 architecture, like the Adreno 520 in the Snapdragon 820. According to Qualcomm up to 30% faster than the previous generation (Adreno 510?). Supports DirectX12, OpenCL 2.0, OpenGL ES 3.1 + AE.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

Intel UHD Graphics 620: Integrated GPU (GT2, 24 EUs) found on some Kaby-Lake-Refresh CPU models (15 W ULV series). Technically identical to the previous Kaby-Lake GPU called HD Graphics 620.

Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs: Integrated graphics card in Intel Tiger Lake G4 SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture with 96 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model. The Tiger Lake chips are produced in the modern 10nm+ process at Intel.

Intel Iris Xe G7 80EUs: Integrated graphics card in Intel Tiger Lake G7 SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture with 80 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model. The Tiger Lake chips are produced in the modern 10nm+ process at Intel.

» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Graphics Cards and the corresponding Benchmark List.

Qualcomm Snapdragon:

SD 660: Fast mid-range ARM SoC with 8 CPU Kryo 260 cores (four fast 2.2 GHz cores in a cluster and two power saving 1.8 GHz cores) and a rather slow Adreno 512 GPU. Manufactured in a 14 nm process.

Intel Comet Lake:

i5-10310U: Comet Lake based low power quad-core processor (technically identical to Whiskey Lake and still produced in 14nm++). The CPU cores can clock between 1.7 and 4.4 GHz with HyperThreading (8 threads). The integrated memory controller supports DDR4-2666 and using cTDP up/down the performance can be adjusted by the OEM (10 - 25 Watt possible, 15W default). Compared to the faster i5-10510U, the level 3 cache was reduced from 8 to 6 MB. The CPU supports the professional management features under the vPro umbrella.

Intel Tiger Lake:

i7-1185G7: Tiger Lake based low power quad-core processor for thin and light laptops. The four cores clock around 3 - 4.8 GHz. Produced on the second-gen 10 nm Intel process.

i5-1145G7: Tiger Lake based low power quad-core processor for thin and light laptops. Produced in 10nm+ at Intel.

7.00:

This display format is in the mid-range for smartphones. It offers a compromise between good visibility, details and resolution on the screen, and you can still fit it into trouser pockets.

14.00:

14 inch display size represents a middle ground between the small subnotebook formats and the screens of the standard 15 inch laptops.

The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, provides good resolutions with usable detail sizes, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact.

In the past, 14-inch devices were very rare, but now they are the standard for laptops after the 15-inchers.

» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.

0.503 kg:

3.35 kg:

A laptop with this weight is comparatively heavy and less designed for mobility than for use at the desk. Therefore, the devices tend to shine less with battery life than with a large screen and higher performance.

86.29%: This is an above-average rating. Nevertheless, it should not be forgotten that about one fifth of all tested models receive a better rating.
