The huge battery along with not too powerful MediaTek processor should easily allow for several days, if not a full week of operation.

Oukitel may not be a smartpone brand everyone is familiar with, but they do make their entrance to the market with quite a bang. The Chinese manufacturer is preparing to launch a handset outfitted with a giant, 10,000 mAh battery. Naturally, the huge capacity has to take its toll. In order to squeeze the battery inside, the handset had to be made rather thick, as can be seen on the leaked photos below.

Other specs, along with the battery size, suggest that the Oukitel 10000 will be a mid-range device targeted at users who travel a lot. The phone will feature a 5.5-inch, 720p display and will be powered by a quad-core, 1.5 GHz MediaTek’s MT6735 SoC with worldwide LTE support. There will be 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of flash memory on board. The main camera will use a 13 MP sensor while on the front we will find a 5 MP selfie shooter. The handset will run Android 5.1 out of the box.

Oukitel 10000 will not launch for another several months, but it already rises to be one of the most interesting smartphones on the market. The 10,000 mAh battery along with not too powerful MediaTek processor should easily allow for several days, if not a full week of operation.
